I have a 77 Liftback. The attention it gets is amazing. People roll down their windows at stoplights to chat. Anyine over the age of 45 pretty much freaks out. It was salvaged out in 2006 because someone backed into it and the dumbass who owned it before me decided to take a 1200 dollar payout. I didnt know this until i got the title and opted not to take legal action because he was a coworker. I paid 600 for it, but spent another 1200 on the drivetrain. I drive it daily.

Welcome. Sorry to hear about the salvage title, but it's only going to matter if/when you sell it and there isn't much value in these cars anyway.
As far as the attention thing, I get tons more attention in mine than any other car I've owned, even when it was completely stock.
One last thing, we all are going to want pictures, so post some up!

Love the wheels. Side window tint looks illegally dark, hope it doesn't cause you any grief.
Any big plans or are you just going to drive it like it is?

Welcome to 1GC! Your Celica looks to be in great shape. Skeptic is right about the title, it doesn't much matter for anything but re-sale, and these cars don't re-sell for crazy amounts like American Muscle cars do.
