Hello everyone,
I bought my celica a few months ago, then went out of the country off and on up until now. I have already started stripping the car down, finding all rust spots to patch. I removed the spare tire well and welded in a flat piece. My plans with the car are similar most people on here, A nice street driven car, with a custom interior that is more modern. I have some photos of the progress plus photos of the day we brought her home. I will be looking on the classifieds for spare parts over the next few weeks as well as selling things I don't need.
Excited to see such an active community that is willing to help each other out. I have owned Hondas, Toyotas, BMW's, Dodge trucks, VW's, and a street bike. I am down to my Scion XB 2011, a Sienna, and now this Celica.
What I know about this car:
Missing rear window glass but have the Louvers
RA22 with the R20 (but R22 valve cover I was told)
Supposedly AE86 Struts, brakes, probably LCA's, cut springs
A lot of bad wiring with splices and exposed wires
Car probably sat outside for a long time as there is rust in all the usual spots (quarters, door sills, rockers, floor pans. The underbody is all structurally strong/rust free as well as the engine bay (go figure).
Photos to follow.

Cut and welded in new trunk piece to make it flush.
