Just referred to the site by Javier...
I'm in the East Bay and was driving home tonight when I stopped to get gas and my Z wouldn't start. Javier was there and saw my car, we talked for a few minutes and he totally went out of his way to drive home and pick up a set of jumper cables to jump start my car! Totally awesome guy and I need to give mad props to the guy who pulled me out of a jam.
If you guys are as cool and supportive as Javier, you all deserve props too. I love all the old school Japanese sports cars from the 60's, 70's and early 80's but my true joy is the Datsun Z car.
Here's a rundown of my current stable:

24HOL Race Car - 1983 280ZX:
1982 Datsun Maxima Diesel - soon to be donor for my turbo bio-diesel 240Z project:
1983 Nissan 280ZX Turbo - driveline donor for the Diesel Maxima and then it's off to the crusher for this poor rusty hulk!:

Ok, here's the engine bay:
Here's a link to the photo diary of the cars build. For how long it took to build, I don't have many pics, but it gives you an idea of why it took 5 and a half years to finish!

Welcome! very nice cars! I LOVE z-cars as well, but not as much as my celicas I guess I can say it was my best friend's mom's 240z that got me into japanese classics. I tried to get her to sell me that car for years and she never would. Then one day she got sick, moved, and sold it to some kid down the street for $300 bucks. It hadn't run in about 15 years and sat in her garage the whole time. The kid brought a friend, a toolbox, and a gas can and drove that thing home.

I knew it! I thought the first few pictures looked familiar. Always loved the setup. I showed it to a friend of mine and it changed his dream car forever haha. Nice collection, and I think it's awesome you take one out on the track.

Nice cars. If I didn't have a 1st gen Celica in high school, instead of a Celica I'd probably have gone with a MK II Supra, Mazda RX3, or 240/260/280Z instead of my '77 Celica.

that RB looks so pristine in that engine bay.
one time when i was in a local best buys in milpitas, there was a 72 240z getting an alarm system installed, and he had a RB powerplant as well...

Not that someone from this Forum helped you out. Eveyone on here is awesome for that , just ask Zulu!
Very VERY nice Z cars, if I didn't get another 1st Gen Celica I may have gotten a 240 or 260, Celica just happened to be my first love.
