How's it going all, I'm Jim, I'm 44 and from N Ireland, I've recently bought a 77 gt coupe (in Oakland CA) and I'm patiently waiting for it to arrive. I'm on the facebook page and heard of the forum through that
I've been a supra man for the past 14 years but have always wanted a gen1. There are a few things not to my taste that I will change when it arrives (not keen on the white nose or the wheels) but that's all part of the fun. Looking forward to contributing to the community!

Welcome Jim, there are a few lads in Eire here. They know their stuff should you need some "local" help.

Re: Hey from N Ireland
I remember seeing this car on the forum. Congratulations! Now comes the question, what plans do you have for this Car? Also, you can go and edit the size of the pictures that you post.
Suggestion is take the larger size and change it to 1024 x ___. If you change the larger number it will automatically change your smaller number to fit to the actual size that will show the complete photo within our frames.

Re: Hey from N Ireland
Progress!
Struggled with that one a little as there isn't an option to resize on Imgur if you're using the app on a phone, but found this simple workaround that looks to have done the trick:
you want to show an image on the web or anywhere else from imgur.com but the image is too large in size, you might want to only show a smaller version of the original image. By default, the image dimension the image is served as is the full resolution. To reduce this to a large thumbnail, simply add l to the image name.
So if you image URL is https://i.imgur.com/9ZC02Os.jpg, you simply add the l to the image name: https://i.imgur.com/9ZC02Osl.jpg. Now your image is a large thumbnail! (640×640 pixels)
I'm interested to find out anything I can on the history of the car, I'll have a search but if anyone remembers any threads on it will you let me know please?
As for plans...I'm not a fan of the white nose, may go for a more subtle colour first (bronze maybe) to see what that's like before painting the whole front end. Wheels are fatlace but not to my taste, I'd like something else, maybe bronze steelies with a decent concave and stepped lip. I've bought new locks, a rear regulator repair kit and new wooden steering wheel for it already. It's currently approaching the Panama canal according to the live tracking

These links should fill that void on Knowledge about the series. Search the member listing for the former owner via his user name and that will lead you to his threads.cheechandchong wrote:Progress!
