Hi everyone,

My name is Tyler and I'm a big toyota fan. I've owned a 1989 supra since 2005 and I did a 1jz swap in 2008. I'm a Mechanical Engineer so I enjoy working on cars and anything mechanical. I bought a 1974 Celica about a month ago. I've been wanting one for a long time. I bought the car in Ocean City, Maryland; it sat next to a corn field since 1994. It was running when they parked it. I've not tried to start it yet, been soaking the cylinders in oil for now. The car has no rust underneath, but the roof is badly rusted from the soft top and I'll have to find a new roof for it. I'm looking forward to getting this car back on the road.

Welcome Tyler, looks like the start of a great project! :woot:
Don't hesitate to ask, there's tons of info and experience to be found here.
Lately my mind is bit like my internet browser; too many open tabs, some are frozen,
and I have no idea where the music is coming from.....

I marvel about how you guys can just find/locate 'abandoned' 1st gen GT's like these.
Opportunities like this just are simply not possible here.
Man, I'm jealous! :arg:

All the best with the restore, certainly looks like you have a great base to start from.
