My first, 1st gen 1977 Salem OR.

Post by metricc »

My name is Caleb, I've always wanted a 1st gen celica and was out on some back roads riding one of my vintage motorcycles the other day and spotted this little gem. She's a 1 owner 167K never been wreck beauty! Bought her from a 86 year old man that has had it parked for over 8 years, he would drive it about one a week to keep the gas and oil circulating. I picked her up for $2300, will need a couple things done, but guess thats what you get with a 30= year car :) heres a list of upgrades and fixes to come,
New shocks and springs, fix fuel gauge, upgrade to webber carb, replace all vac lines, hoses and belts, new plugs, cap, and rear tires, probably replace rims ( they are in great shape just not a huge fan of ones on there). Engine is solid doesn't have any leaks or knocks but will eventually do a swap and turbo.

May I offer the 1st thing you do is get rid of those horrible "dog eared" door mirrors !

We had the same ones here in OZ around '83 :nonono:

Those Globeline mags.... Never saw what other people saw in them either :screwy:

Excellent buy !!
