Hi guys,
Just a brief introduction to my car, it’s a 1974 TA22. It used to be my fathers since 1985 and he passed it on to me when I was 16.
It originally had the 2T which I swapped for a 2TG with extractors, big valves, ground cams, Dellorto DHLA 40’s etc. This was cool but I wasn’t getting the power I wanted out of it.
Since then I have stripped the car to bare metal and rebuilt it. I have also put in a 3TGTE with a T3/T4 turbo, forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, custom intake and intercooler set up, aftermarket computer, electronic boost control (through the cars computer) and 450cc Mitsi injectors.
I have just finished building up a set of SSR mesh wheels which I have got on it now. I got the rears from Japan and the fronts here in New Zealand. I took them all apart and got the centres powder coated too. They are 15x8 at the rear (0 offset) and 15x7 (-3 offset). The reason the fronts are low offset with not much dish is 25mm spacers which was necessary for the wheel to fit in as I am running RX7 callipers with E30 BMW disks.
I’m in the process of finishing this project, just need to get a good dyno tune done and also a driveshaft loop made up.
Here are a few pics
