I just acquired this for 500 bucks. The body is in great shape minus the fender and door. There is very little rust on the hatch. I just replaced the struts/shocks, master cylinder, and various other things. Plan on getting a 32/36 in january and maybe the 82 supra bushings kit.My winter project is to primer and sand it because somebody before me did a horrible job spray painting it flat black. I have owned a 76 its a parts car and a 75 which wasnt running and had to give away because i had nowhere to put it. I am looking at getting another 77 coupe this summer once i see what shape it is in. It would also be helpful to find a drivers side window i used one from a coupe and the radio bezel because mine was missing

wheels on plan on putting on it this summer

An extra gt emblem that was in the glove box. Anybody know if you can make these look new again?

The only visible rust is on the drivers side door and fender

I plan on getting fender flares because i probably wont find a parts car. The pick and pull out here closed a few years back They had a nice liftback and a couple early celicas. I wish i would have had more money. I think thats about it

Looks pretty good for a Montana car.
I'm still amazed that people up there even buy sport cars.
Don't you guys get like several feet of snow come winter?
Oh well... Guess that's what garages are for. :lol2:

Good luck with your build.

And, mine is full of rust. :cry2: So... I feel your pain.

Just wet sanded it to see what the horrible flat black paint job was all about and found a bunch of round looking black circles everywhere. The black paint would come off and the circles would stay. They look like rust pockets. He might have used one of those compounds to change the rust. Should i just keep it off and reprimer it?

Did you happen to buy this in Missoula? I saw one on craigslist few years back and I told the guy I would buy it and told him I'd be down the next day to pick it up. Drove up there from Dillon,mt and gave him a call and he said he sold it. I wanted to shank him!. Looks like its a decent one tho. Have fun with it.
