My name is Kristen (aka GT Mittens) and I just purchased a 1977 Celica GT w/ a .75 bored over 20R, 5-speed, headman headers and a cherry bomb exhaust. Pretty mechanically sound, but otherwise fairly rough (it was a coast car and has some rust issues). I thought I would join this form to get some advice on working on my car and in general talk to other 1st gen owners.
So there's the rest of the car! Welcome aboard! That's the way I always wanted to do projects anyways. Get the driveline sound, then work on aesthetics. Some body panels and a re-paint and it'll be a head turner again!
here's my Firebird, factory 400 4-speed posi. I call him Pumpkin!
This was a '73 400 before I cracked the block. Now I have a date casted 1968 400 w/#16 heads.
You'll notice a trend in my cars... 1st gen models, have some rust issues, need more work, but someday, will be badass! (actually I already think they are!)
Hi Kristen, after your email yesterday I decided to see if I could find you on here to say HI! since you mentioned you were a member, and it looks like I did
