Im a Rolla fan and will eventually get 77 celica or 80s starlet. Have had 12 toyotas to date including 82 celica 85 celica gts 88 supra turbo.
My DD is 86 corolla SR5 coupe and getting my 85 SR5 hatch body and paint done next month probably. I prefer the look of the earlier celicas for sure. Saw that nasty one with 1JZ in it and tried to trade for it or any turbo corolla. My first toyota was 82 te72 in 1990 bought it for $750 and drove it for 5 years, the first 2 years i had it drove it on 2 delivery jobs and put 88,xxx miles on it. Put another engine in and drove it 40,xxx more miles, retired it with 258,xxx miles then sold it.
Have my eye on 81 te72 now but but guy wont sell it right now, it's a spare car for him, later will get the 77 celica.

Yeah the 04-05 was the better looking one, i got the euro model and put 06-07 rear suspension in mine, and then spent too much on crap.

Ive got an 04 with the solid red and black colour scheme, aparently they had the same muffler and indicators as the repsol but im not to sure. Have you done any mods on yours? or have you left it standard?.

Just fender eliminator and took off the front signals. I looked like and alien with bug eyes. If i still have this in the spring i may just have my mech massage it out some, at least do the flapper mod, ecu, lowered and stretched. Have swingarm extensions but i want to go with whole one piece extended arm that has factory look.
04-05 are exactly the same, i just have the Repsol replica paint scheme and dem orange wheels, mang they clean up good!

I guess the low and long thing is an anerican thing i never got, ive ridden a GSXR1100 and absolutley hated the ride. Ive only done the basic stuff to mine, i got rid if the all emissions crap, HRC replica intake, BMC filters, yoshi Ti RS-5, PC-III because i couldn't afford to tune a HRC system. Next in getting pazzo levers decen grips and a HRC throttle, id like a slipper clutch but i cant afford clutch plates.

Mang there was hardly anyone there. And the wind was kicking up, right at midnight there was a sprinkle then 20 mins later it became a flash flood, lol.

Oh yeah those HRC tunes are at least $300-350 and not many people can do it. Just the cable is 100 from what i remember.
