The madness begins!

Post by FelixTA29 »

Hello from Mobile! Shout out to Leslie and Mike for getting me in. :2thumbs:

Had a 77 ST notch back in 82, during high school, but lost it to a Grand Marquis in 87. T-boned and still have the pinky scar from my hand going into the console plastic. Replaced it with an old 72 ST, but quickly traded it in for a family four door.

Fast forward to Dec 12th, 2015.....

Seems she was parked in the early 90s do to brake issues. The owner had bought here in 81 as it's second owner.

A goat has been guarding and eating her trim ever since.

As you can see, I have my work "cut out" for me....pun intended.

First order of business...pans, pans, pans!

Alabama then? Please add location to your profile. Holy rust! I'd keep looking for a more solid car. (sorry) Are the rockers at least good?

Enjoyed the vid's and the music. If you're not beating out your own panels these guys make some neat stuff. And the Canadian $$ is WAY down right now so you can probably buy whatever they have cheaper than you could make it  http://www.alfaparts.net/. There are some cars getting cut right now in classifieds if you haven't seen it yet. and santos always has stock or will find it.

Good luck with the project

Merry Christmas

Chuck,

I've been helping my son install carpet in his 85 SR5 truck today. He just shooed me away.

Yes, Mobile Alabama, I'll update my profile this evening. :2thumbs:

The quarters from stem to stern are solid as a rock, She's 99% original.

The sunroof and hatch exposed the pans to water. I may end up searching for a shell, but I won't know until she's stripped and on the rotisserie.

I don't look forward to the exploratory surgery but my goal is 100% from the ground up.

Hey Neil, good info. Do they actually offer RA29 metal? That would be great.

And Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.
