Hello everyone don't currently own a first gen celica.
I live in the upstate of South Carolina
As a teenager I owned about 12 of them. I bought and sold them as a hobby.
In the 80's they could be bought for $100 running!
I miss having one and am actively looking to own one again. I have a wealth of knowledge about these cars and will contribute to the community.
I have rebuilt 18r engines, swapped automatics for manuals, stripped every part of one down to a shell on several occasions.
I spent 15 years doing paint and body work and transitioned into restoring and building street rods/muscle cars. I now work at a dealership in parts (not Toyota).
Still have several toyotas in the family including a 1988 Van and a 2003 MR2 custom.
Ready to get back in to 1st gen Celicas!

Welcome! Always good to have guys adding to the knowledge base around here (to make up for my lack of knowledge!!)
Good luck in your search. Doesn't seem to be too much around for sale at this time, but patience will be the key! Looking for a coupe or a liftback?

Thanks! I think a 71-75 coupe is what I want. Never had 76-77s back then.
I have an old toolbox full of bolts small parts and bolt from dismantling these cars 25-30 years ago. Can still tell you what most of them fit or go!
