Hi guys, I am from Campbell River BC, Canada. I have a couple of street cars right now and a '72 celica race car that I plan to restore and race. My previous race experience is in Karts and Spec Miata. Looking forward to finding some good first gen tech info, and parts sources.
The '72 has been a race car since the 80s at least. Probably going to build a 3tc for it.
Here is my stable:
Single turbo 1JZ swapped 1984 GTS:
1UZ swapped 1981 Corolla sedan:
And the 1st gen project... which i guess i just have pics of the 18RG heads on my computer:

Re: My Toyotas and '72 race project
Here is a picture of it competing some time in the 90's. It's fairly stripped of trim for weight. I'll be getting rid of the ugly front dam in favour of a toysport one.
It's a solid car body wise, but i have yet to dig into it to see what it will take to make it a truly fast track car. I have 3 18rg heads and all the parts to build and 18rg in it's highest OEM spec, but i think i would rather build a wild 3TC and have an easier time finding parts if or when that pops.
As it was when i bought it:

Great project! Interested to see how where you go with it. Mine is a 20/22R very built, but even more so than the 3TC, very available parts.
Re: My Toyotas and '72 race project
welcome. nice project. One thing is for sure.
any of the 3 engine choices will not be cheap to modify.
2xR maybe cheaper then 3T, RG will definetly be the most though.
