Re: new to celicas not to old cars.
Hi, your work on your Celica looks very professional. If I ever visit London, I am happy to see it. Mine is also a '75 LT, but European model, and nothing is swapped (but its color from white).

Very nice toy, LOVELY. Congrat. What is your tire size? Your tires fit nicely in their place. (The mirrors look too modern, you may think about a change, but the rest is LOVELY, indeed.)

Great pick!!! I wonder how you could find an unused original bumper. Anyway, these cars are getting more and more popular recently, I do believe that every penny you invest will pay back with high interest.

Re: New member from Hungary
Thanks for the post, fellow European. I am really envy for the tan interior. I believe green cars came with tan interior that time, at least in the 1974 European brochure. However, as I learned, mine was a white car once with black interior, and was repainted as green in 1998, after a minor accident...

Your car seems to be an exceptionally nice piece of '71 Celica. Actually, one of the oldest I have ever seen. Take care of it, please.

Re: New member from Hungary
I have to admit, the TOYOTA name tag at the center should not be original. I have bought this way, and I have never suspected. Now I made a little internet search, and the closest I found was an RA40 model with TOYOTA name tag on the front grill, but not at the center. On the TA22 model only GT or G...

One more European, WOW, very nice looking car. We have the same rims, see.
It is the new engine, isn't it? I have the old and less powerful 2T.

Welcome European. There are, indeed, only a few 1stGenCelica left in Europe.
If "modernizing" your Celica results some original parts to spare, I am interested in storing those parts. I have a list of what mine misses.

Re: New member from Hungary
Yes, Lada. Last year I visited an Oldtimer show (see the image in my April 16, 2011 post), and I realized in horror that not only my side mirror was identical with those on the Ladas, but the Lada boot also advertised brand new mirrors for sale. This is why I believed my mirrors were not original, a...

Re: New member from Hungary
Hey Faffi! Very interesting. Your mirror, indeed, looks exactly like mine. In the part catalog, I downloaded from Stepho, there are several side mirrors, but neither is like ours. Also, occasionally e-bay has original door side mirror, and that is different. The lower end of the foot does not finish...
