Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback
Hi trev - The spec of Uk cars was that the UK gt had a twin cam 18r-g engine with close ratio gearbox and standard LSD. The other LSD fitted to UK cars was the ta22gt and TA23gt , but only 200 of the first and 100 of the second imported. The Ra28 gt had vinyl trim seats , not cloth, silver dash and...

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback
Hi Trev Probably a fair price in view of the mileage , however the issue is its an ST , would need an upgrade to 18r-g , these engines are making £1000 an d then you have got to change it, Also over the gt the St has no close ratio gearbox, or limited slip diff , inferior interior and reduced speci...

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback
Hi Malcolm
Really useful info on both posts. I will try and give you a call this week as it would be good to have a quick chat with and ask a few questions. Also if you hear of any register members wanting to sell their cars then please keep me in mind

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback
Hi trev Expect to pay £15k for a decent uk 28 lift back if you can find one. Must be gt with 18r-g twin cam engine as the st is underpowered and won't run on unleaded. You will have a search on as values are rising rapidly and the supply of decent uk cars is very limited. Might be sensible to impor...

Thanks Neil, really usefulneil reid wrote:You don't seem to be monitoring you other post. 3 cars here. At the rate they go for in the UK and the weak Canadian dollar. You could ship and still save substantially.

Re: E-type owner looking for a Gen 1 Liftback
Welcome, Trev. That is a seriously sexy automobile you got..... Getting a Liftback should not be too difficult, though it may take some time, as they do get more rare. If you don't mind a LHD, there are still a few available on the continent. Anyway, good luck with the search, keep's inform...

My E-type while a great car is a proper garage queen and doesn't get used as often as I woul...
