Fortunately for you, you live in probably the best place on earth to get a rust free car to start with. The 70s celica has been extinct for decades over most of the rest of the continent. Have fun! Remember the hunt is one of the best parts so enjoy it!

That wheel choice should work well I did the same with 195 50 15 front and 205 50 15 rear. Wished I could have went 215 50 15 rear but that's an oddball size and I thought 225 50 would be too much. Post some pics with sizes when you get em!

You will find tons of info here, really great people too. Keep your eyes out for smiley bumpers in your homeland. You could use the revenue from sales to fund your project, there is a great need for your bumpers in north America.

I bought one from California in March and it has a catalytic converter and electronic ignition. It has a sticker in the drivers quarter window saying "catalyst". I think the electronic ignition is California spec only for 1977. Hope this is helpful.
