RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
Hi everyone my name is Joey Morgan. I'm a service tech at Serra Toyota in Centerpoint, Alabama. I have been a Honda enthusiast since 97 but have recently taken an interest in Toyota. A few days ago I purchased a 77 RA24 in fair condition. It runs and drives but has a few small issues. I plan to restore it and will probably need some help locating parts If you guys don't mind. Here are a few pics, I'll post more when I get the chance. Let me know what you think.

Welcome!
Looks like a great start for a project.
Lots of valuable info on this site, I'm sure someone will have, or know where to get what you will need.

hard times finding those beautiful bumpers. In the mean time... most people opt to recess the stock bumpers. Easy as cake to do, and is a considerable improvement on the looks of those ugly truck bumpers.

Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
so nice that urs came with that spoiler already. how's the interior?
Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
the interior is pretty bad. its ok though, i'm not a big fan of brown interior. I would like to re-do it in black.
Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
I found some fiberglass replicas on ebay but they don't look that great. How much do the front and rear normally sell for?mrm76gt wrote:hard times finding those beautiful bumpers. Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
Those ones on Ebay are actually made by a member on here. And, they look great after some paint. Can't remember... Faoxau2 or something like that. Check out his posts in the vendors section. As for the price of some Real metal bumpers it depends on alot of things. JDM? Or An earlier american model made to fit, and such? The price if you can find the part almost depends on what you're willing to pay for it. 2 3 hundred a piece maybe? I haven't been able to find what I'm after...JOEY-G wrote:I found some fiberglass replicas on ebay but they don't look that great. You almost have to leave the country to find the 's for our RA24's.

Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
Sadly no. I got mine off a pre-74, you would need original off one from Australia, Japan, Europe, etc... As they never came on the US ones.JOEY-G wrote:I'd love to have a bumper like the one in your sig. will it fit a 77?75CelicaGT wrote: Welcome!

The fiberglass ones made by " Foxau2 " would fit yours, and are great quality I'm told.

This is a pic of the one for sale on ebay. Do they normally have that much of a gap between the bumper and fender?75CelicaGT wrote:Sadly no. Re: RA24 OWNER IN ALABAMA
No, I don't think so.
I think the gap you see is because someone put an early model bumper 71-74 on an 76-77.
If the Fiberglass Bumpers are made by Foxau2 for the 76-77 they I'm sure they would fit properly.
Check with Foxau though.
